I got new, brighter, better, easier to understand (for me) flashes today and let me tell you this: these things have already given me multiple flash-gasms. I love, love, love what they do. I guess it really is all about having the right equipment.
As I've said, I don't have much experience using flashes and usually try to avoid it whenever humanly possible. However, I do want to become a better photojournalist, so I promised myself I would pull out the strobes for this year's high school basketball season since high school gyms have notoriously terrible lighting for action shots.
Tonight, I set them up for the first time and here's what I got:
I moved to Fremont, Cali. on June 1, 2012. Before that, I lived in Cedar City, Utah and was a photojournalist for The Spectrum and The Daily News. Most of the photos posted on this blog before I moved to California are copyrighted and owned by them, and the rest by me.
